Summer 2018, Hotter Than Usual?

Sometimes we aren’t always shown the temperatures from local sources such as high, low and if any records were set.  And, many folks are asking me if this has been an unusually warm summer, at least so far.

Well I got into the National Weather Service archives and put together some information on the highs and lows for each day so far this summer.  I started with the last day of May because that was the day Wichita Falls, Texas reached 100° for the first time in the calendar year.

To answer the question; has it been a hot summer? YES!

Look at each day through the summer so far and note how hot it has been.  At the bottom, I have some fun stats to share with family and friends.
