The Number We've All Been Waiting For . . .

Almost everyone in Texoma is wondering about a number.  It's a certain number that will help us understand what this past week has meant.

Will it be a high number?  Will it be a low number?  Many will say 'that's not right, I got more in my backyard.'  And, that is understandable.

But, it is the number that represents all of Texoma and what happened during the past week.

So, without further adieu, here it is . . . 2.32"

That is how much rain the official rain gauge at the Wichita Falls Regional Airport reports to have fallen during the beginning of September during the many days of rainfall.

This is how it broke down over the past days:

Saturday, September 1, 2018:  0.06"
Sunday, September 2, 2018:  T"
Monday, September 3, 2018:  0.02"
Tuesday, September 4, 2018:  0.18"
Wednesday, September 5, 2018:  0.30"
Thursday, September 6, 2018:  T"
Friday, September 7, 2018:  1.67"
Saturday, September 8, 2018:  0.09"
Sunday, September 9, 2018:  T"

It is true that radar estimates indicate some location received more and many other locations received less.

But, for now that is the number:  2.32."
