Just A Thought For You To Consider

Many people have wondered in recent days, weeks, months, years and now decades, what is happening to us, as a people, as a country, as a nation?

"It" seems to be taking over, slowly.  What is the "it" I refer to, you might ask.

"It" is the change in the human spirit.  The world and our nation have always had problems but somehow this just feels different.

The definition of "it" is as different as the number of people in our nation.

But, it does seem clear that there is a pattern of how "it" works.

I once saw a movie (from a book) with a well written verbal warning for each and every one of us.  It's simple, but powerful, and speaks to our time.  The warning spoke to me and from what I understand many others as well.

This is what was said . . .

This is what 'it' does to us,

One person at a time,

Until fear takes over.

Fear turns to rage.

Rage leads to violence.

And then there's a tipping point.

If we do not act soon,

Darkness will fall across our land,

And possibly the world.

The "Darkness" is hate, bigotry, isolation, a lack of caring, lack of compassion, lack of sharing and yes, a lack of general human love.

We all fall victim to this pattern in some shape or form at some time in our lives.  But it only takes a small effort to stop the process from advancing and then a concerted effort to walk it back all the way.

If you ever feel yourself on this path, do what you know is the right thing to do, maybe pray, maybe call a loved one, call a stranger, go to a clinic, call a helpline, but do something so that this pattern stops.

You can call it evil, you can call it the devil, or whatever malevolent being your individual religion believes in.  But it's out there lurking and hoping you will give in to "it."

Please don't, the clock is ticking, the tipping point is coming.  We must step back from the brink and find our light again.  Or it will be too late for us and our generations for a long period of time.

Please share if you feel compelled to do so.
