Forecast Gets Stormy But Will They Be Severe?

There is good news and bad news in this extended forecast.

Let's get to the good news first.  According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Storm Prediction Center (SPC) there isn't a chance of any severe weather in our area from now until next Thursday, June 6, 2019.  However, the SPC does say someone will receive severe weather but it's too early to determine the exact areas that will receive it.  But on the good side again, they do say that it appears the most likely chance of any severe weather will be across the High Plains in the upper United States, which is usually the case once we get into June.

Now for the bad news.  More rain.  Yes, it appears that Mother Nature has decided to bless us with some days of showers and thunderstorms.  The question is how much rain.  Honestly, we can't handle much more.  The ground is soaked and any runoff would create flooding.  So stay tuned to the forecast to find out if flooding might be a problem this weekend or next week.

That's all for now.  Enjoy the nice, quiet weather.
