Severe Weather Possible Today: Sun., June 9, 2019

The National Weather Service (NWS) Storm Prediction Center (SPC) in Norman, Oklahoma has issued their storm outlook for the remainder of today in our area.

Here's the Severe Weather Threat Risk for today, Sunday, June 9, 2019:

An ENHANCED RISK (3) area is located in Jack County including the community of Jacksboro where the highest likelihood of severe weather will take place today.  While surrounding that is a SLIGHT RISK (2) for much of central, eastern and southern Texoma including Wichita Falls.  And then a MARGINAL RISK (1) surrounds that into southwest Oklahoma and into the Vernon to Throckmorton area.

The main threat today will be damaging thunderstorm wind gusts (potentially to hurricane force) with a secondary threat of large hail and potentially a very isolated tornado.
