Severe Weather Threat Risk Today/Tomorrow: Enhanced

The National Weather Service (NWS) Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has released their Severe Weather Threat Risk for today, Saturday, June 22, 2019 and Sunday, June 23, 2019.

There's increasing chance of a severe weather event for today and tomorrow.  Let's take a look:

For today, Saturday, June 22, 2019:





The ENHANCED RISK (3) includes the following counties and cities:

  • Tillman (Frederick)
  • Comanche (Lawton)
  • Stephens (Duncan)
  • Jackson (Altus)
  • Kiowa (Hobart)
  • Greer (Mangum)
  • Harmon (Hollis)
  • Childress (Childress)
  • Hardeman (Quanah)

This area has the risk of:

  • Isolated Tornadoes
  • Very Large Hail
  • Damaging Thunderstorm Wind Gusts


The SLIGHT RISK (2) includes the following counties and cities:

  • Wichita (Wichita Falls)
  • Cotton (Walters)
  • Jefferson (Waurika)
  • Clay (Henrietta)
  • Montague (Nocona)
  • Wilbarger (Vernon)
  • Foard (Crowell)
  • Cottle (Paducah)

This area has the risk of:

  • Highly Isolated Tornadoes
  • Very Large Hail
  • Damaging Thunderstorm Wind Gusts
