Forecast (7/10): Dangerously Hot Conditions & Severe Thunderstorms Possible

Hello everyone!

Time for today's weather forecast.  The heat index will be unusually high, up to 115°Therefore, the NWS has issued an *Excessive Heat Warning* for the area; click this sentence for additional information.  In addition, any thunderstorms that form could be severe with damaging winds and large hail; click this sentence for additional information on the severe weather risk today.  Read the forecast below for more information.

Today
A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm, some storms could be severe. Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 99. Heat index values as high as 115. East southeast wind 5 to 9 mph.
Tonight
A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1am, some storms could be severe. Partly cloudy, with a low around 75. East wind 5 to 9 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Thursday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 93. Heat index values as high as 100. Northeast wind 5 to 9 mph.
Thursday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 70. Northeast wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Friday
Sunny, with a high near 93. Calm wind becoming northeast around 6 mph in the afternoon.
Friday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 69.
Saturday
Sunny, with a high near 94.
Saturday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 72.
Sunday
Sunny, with a high near 93.
